An unusual SegaSaturn accessory: The 3RADD – A sound enhancer with SRS psychoacoustic technology. Read a review on this japanese blog. Here is a scan of the manual.
The effect with audio sources is quite nice, it boosts the sound and positions it around your head. The technology is used in all kinds of devices and software, e.g. the Windows Media Player (SRS WOW).

Most US LaserDiscs have CC (closed captioning) subtitles. To view them outside the US, you’ll need a CC decoder.
The TVGuardian 101 is a terrible device for uptight people that detects and censors words like “hell” in the CC subtitles. It is also supposed to mute the audio when an offending word or sentence is detected. For more details, see the manual that is available here: .
When the filter is turned off, this device is a very cheap alternative to CC decoders and can be used to superimpose CC subtitles on the LaserDisc video signal.

I finally received a NUON Enhanced DVD Player, the missing VLM link between Atari Jaguar CD and Microsoft Xbox 360. It’s in very bad shape and came without a remote control, but it works like a charm and even plays games on DVD+/-R and homebrew games on CD-R.
These players are quite rare and show up only once or twice a year on eBay. The model I got is Samsung’s last European NUON DVD player, the DVD-N505 without controller ports. There are two hacks to add controller ports though. I’m going for the latter hack and will add mini-DIN connectors to the Logitech Gamepads soon.
Elansar is a new game for Atari Jaguar. It was released on other platforms before and got ported to the Atari Jaguar 4MB cartridge format. Luckily I’ve got one out of 75 copies. It came enclosed in an universal game case (ironically all kinds of retro cartridges fit well, except Atari Jaguar’s…) with a small manual booklet and a sticker:
To have a full control experience I’m going to build the mouse adapter by Matthias Domin as soon as a new D-Sub15 connector (VGA) arrives. Unfortunately all spare connectors I’ve got have one or more important pins missing.
Today the brand new Neo Geo X Classics Vol. 1 was in the mail. It contains the games Metal Slug 2, Sengoku and Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy on a special SD card.
Also included are the Rocket Cable for charging and upgrading the handheld, firmware v500 (on the SD card) and two manuals (two pages each):
Today I received a X-Card GOLD Pack by Neslou. The X-Card is a fool proof solution to play custom content on a Neo Geo X. This is what I got:
A Neo Geo Pocket game case containing the X-Card, a 4GB microSDHC card with adapter, an USB reader, four stickers and a signed note.
Today I got a sealed new in box relict from an era where Microsoft made great gaming peripherals for computers. It’s the SideWinder Strategic Commander:

Yesterday I got two huge accessories for the Wii (see the Wii game on the right for a size comparison; only 3 of the 9 dance mat segments are shown in the picture):
